Our compensation strategy is benchmarked to a compensation survey conducted by the Washington Community Mental Health Council taking into consideration the demographics of similar agencies. We also monitor what other agencies in our community and surrounding areas are paying for similar positions. We evaluate our compensation and benefit package annually to ensure we are offering our staff competitive compensation and benefit packages.

Peninsula Behavioral Health bases its personnel policies on an underlying philosophy focused upon respect for the dignity and individuality of each employee. Our team of over 130 employees works hard to provide quality comprehensive behavioral health services to the residents of our community.
We support the community and urge our employees to get involved. Clallam county is truly a unique and beautiful place with a fantastic, tight-knit local community.
We are active within the Washington Community Mental Health Council, which has a strong voice in our state’s capital by educating legislators and administrators and vigorously promoting funding for mental health services.
Despite our growth, our size still enables us to know and greet each other on a first-name basis in the hallways. The doors of supervisors and managers, including the executive director’s, are open to staff. Training is frequently offered on a variety of topics, and all-staff meetings are held quarterly to further promote information-sharing. We promote from within when and where possible.
All full-time staff are asked to participate in our Performance Improvement Process to further strengthen our organization and enhance the quality of our services.
Student loan repayment
PBH maintains site approval to participate in loan re-payment programs for licensed clinicians in eligible disciplines through both the Washington student Achievement Council (WSAC) and the National Health Service Corps (NHSC). These programs are offered to health professionals working in underserved areas of Washington. PBH is located within a Health Professional Shortage Area.
Peninsula Behavioral Health provides ongoing training in behavioral health, substance use treatment and social work topics.
