Our team works to support your health.

Our team of compassionate professionals is made up of a Psychiatrist, Psychiatric ARNPs, Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Certified Nursing Aides.

How to access the PBH medical department

Being seen by our medical department requires a referral for care. This may come from your primary care provider or internally from a PBH therapist.

If you have questions on whether care in our department would be a good fit for you or would like to become a patient at PBH, please call (360) 457-0431 and ask for the Access Department.

Our approach to care

Our team is here to support you as you work with PBH therapy providers on your treatment plan. We provide education to support your journey, and in some instances our providers will engage in more formalized therapy when necessary.

Our psychiatric providers are all board certified and adhere to best practices in psychiatry. We believe in a holistic and collaborative approach to patient care and work closely with your primary care provider to assure continuity of care.

How can I get in to services at PBH?

If you have Medicaid:
If you are 13 or older, come to the Port Angeles office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 8AM to 2PM for a same-day Intake Appointment (available on a first-come, first-served basis).

What is an Intake Appointment? You will meet with an Intake Clinician who will listen to your concerns and ask questions about symptoms and experiences. The two of you will collaboratively determine your needs and discuss available resources. This appointment generally lasts 1 ½ hours. The Intake Clinician will schedule your first appointment for services that are well suited to your unique situation.

If you have private insurance:
Call (360) 457-0431 during regular business hours. When staff are available in our Access Department, they will help you immediately. If they are helping other people at the time of your call, you will be asked to leave your phone number, and someone will get back to you by the end of the following business day.

If you have private insurance, we will help you determine 1) if your insurance provider covers the behavioral health services that you are seeking 2) the amount of deductibles and/or co-payments that you would be responsible for 3) if you qualify for financial assistance, funded through our private donations, Hargrove and United Way grants, and/or a sliding fee scale.

If you have no insurance:
Call (360) 457-0431 during regular business hours. When staff are available in our Access Department, they will help you immediately. If they are helping other people at the time of your call, you will be asked to leave your phone number, and someone will get back to you by the end of the following business day.

Peninsula Behavioral Health will do whatever we can to provide services to you. We will conduct a financial review to see if you qualify for financial assistance, funded through our private donations, Hargrove and United Way grants, and/or a sliding fee scale.
